Volunteers play a vital role in making the Australian Musical Theatre Festival a smash-hit!

Key information for volunteers

Get access to performances and the chance to meet the guest artists plus the chance to learn new skills and get hands on experience.

Here are just some of the ways you could get involved:

  • Ushering
  • Bump-in/Bump out crew
  • Backstage support
  • Meet and greet / workshop sign in
  • Administration
  • Social events
  • Volunteer photographer
  • Bar (you must be over 18 and have a current RSA)
  • Courtesy car driver (you must be over 25 and have a current drivers licence)

The Australian Musical Theatre Festival acknowledges the traditional owners of this island lutruwita (Tasmania).
This festival takes place on the country around kanamaluka/River Tamar, where two original tribes converged, the litarimirina and the panina people.
It is our hope that this Festival will celebrate storytelling for years to come, while honouring the stories that have come before us on this land.

(Names of tribes and places in palawa kani are used with approval of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre.)
