Samantha is known to Tasmanian audiences through her exciting and varied work within the community musical theatre scene. She has performed lead roles in Chicago (Encore Theatre Company), Carrie (Bijou Creative), 9 to 5 (Launceston Musical Society) and We Will Rock You (Encore Theatre Company), to name a few.
Notably, Samantha has been awarded with multiple Tasmanian Theatre Awards for Best Supporting Actress in a Community Musical; in 2019 for her portrayal of Madame Thenadier in Encore Theatre Company’s Les Misérables and in 2020 for the role of Killer Queen in Encore Theatre Company’s production of We Will Rock You.
In 2021 Samantha and Benjamin Austin presented Bond, Bassey & Barbra, a cabaret they developed themselves, at the Junction Arts Festival, which received rave reviews.
Accompanying her career, Samantha has had extensive acting and voice training throughout Australia and America. Having studied her Bachelor of Music at the UTAS Conservatorium of Music, Samantha also enjoys teaching voice and music at Launceston College and Scotch Oakburn College.
