Kane Alexander

Kane Alexander has performed all over the world, collected numerous awards, and recorded with Sony BMG Music.

He is well known for lead roles in musical theatre including Bobby Strong in Urinetown (Helpmann Award nomination), Claude in Hair, Willard in Footloose (MO Award nomination), the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz, Billy Crocker in Anything Goes, Giorgio in Stephen Sondheim’s Passion and Stone in City of Angels. He also performed in the 10th Anniversary production of Les Misérables.

In the 2001 New York Cabaret Awards, he was named ‘Best New Voice’ and won both the BISTRO and MAC Awards for ‘Most Outstanding Debut’. Subsequently, he was asked to perform at Rupert Murdoch’s 70th birthday party in New York, alongside Natalie Cole. After his return to Australia, he was named a finalist of the 2001 Young Australian of the Year Awards. Kane returned to New York in 2016 and performed his own show at 54 Below in New York.

Along with his own solo concerts at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, the Sydney Swings Series and Arts Centre Melbourne, Kane has performed with Marina Prior, Tina Arena, Lisa McCune, popera superstars Il Divo and UK diva Katherine Jenkins. Kane has also appeared in concert with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra with the Australian Pops Orchestra.

Kane most recently played the role of J.Bruce Ismay in the concert version of Titanic – The Musical.
