Gerard Lane is Artistic Director of Studio Space Inclusive Arts and is a Launceston based performer with 25 years of experience and credits in theatre, music theatre, comedy, cabaret, opera, film, and TV. Gerard has toured Australia and Southeast Asia with several new Australian musicals including My Gramdma Lives in Gooligulch,Wizard Powers and Witch-Witch is Which! and The world premiere of The White Rose.
Since moving to Tasmania in 2015, Gerard has worked with Esque Opera, Encore Theatre, LMS, Mudlark, Three River, Launceston Players, Junction Arts and Interweave. Recent credits include The Ghosts of the Olympic Theatre for Junction Arts Festival, The Sound of Musicals and Any Moment for the Australian Music Theatre Festival, Songs For a New World AMTF, Australian Musical Showcase AMTF, Cut Outta Town AMTF Makers weekend and Showing Off Again 2022 Country Club Tasmania. In 2019 Gerard won first prizes in the Launceston Competitions Opera Aria, British Art song and the Max Oldaker award for Music theatre.
