Brooke Targett

Brooke is a Launceston local and is fresh from her appearance in Encore Theatre Company's production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert where she played one of the Diva's. By day Brooke is a local Bank Manager, but music performance and teaching has always been her first love and passion.

Brooke holds a Bachelor of Music, majoring in violin performance, which she completed at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music. Upon her return to Launceston, she commenced violin and orchestral tuition across local schools and her own private practice.

Brooke has enjoyed appearing in many local productions. These include the 2021 production of "Mamma Mia", where playing the role of "Tanya", she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress Musical Theatre in the Tasmanian Theatre Awards.

Brooke's other theatre credits include the Baroness in The Sound of Music (ETC), Hope Harcourt in Anything Goes, Godspell, Nunsense, Nuncrackers and Fiddler on the Roof with both the Launceston Musical Society (LMS) and the Launceston Players. She has also performed with the St. Cecilia Orchestra and the Launceston Philharmonic Orchestra.
