General admission means that the performance does not have allocated seating and patrons select their own seats as they enter the venue. If you have special accessibility requirements, please let the box office know at the time of booking and ensure you arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the show.
Tickets for reserved seating events may be re-issued to the original purchaser with appropriate identification. Please contact the box office for information regarding terms and conditions. Tickets for general admission events are unable to be re-issued.

If you book online or by phone you can choose whether to collect your tickets from the box office or have them emailed directly to you. Tickets can be collected between 10am-6pm Weekdays, or from an hour prior to the start of the show. At this time we are unable to post your tickets to you at this time.
When you make a booking they will often ask for your name, address, phone number and/or email address. This information allows Theatre North staff to identify and contact you if an instance arises to issue an exchange or refund if the performance is postponed or cancelled. They are also then able to re-issue your tickets if they are lost or stolen. General admission tickets are unable to be re-issued.
All sales, regardless of the method of purchase, work on a real-time next best available basis. If you have a specific request or any special requirements, please call the box office directly on (03) 6331 0052 and they will do their best to accommodate you.
When booking your tickets on the Theatre North website, you will be directed to a seating map and for many of the shows on sale you can select your preferred seat when booking. If you are booking over the phone or at the box office counter, the friendly staff will be able to give you a couple of seating options subject to availability. It is then your decision as to which seats you'd prefer.
Under normal circumstances, the Theatre North box office is usually open from 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday.
The Box Office is also open one hour prior to performances in the Princess Theatre.

Iin the event of a lockdown the festival may be be postponed and all ticket holders can either retain their ticket for the rescheduled festival or obtain a refund.

When a popular show first goes on sale there may be a high volume of traffic attempting to access the website, which may cause a delay in online ticketing availability. If you are attempting to buy last minute tickets online, you may find that online sales have closed but door sales will be available for last minute ticket buyers. In the event of a system error an explanatory message will appear on the screen. Note that you are given a limited amount of time (7 minutes) to complete your purchase - you must complete the transaction within this time. Please note that the online ticket service is unavailable during scheduled system backups between 11:30pm and 2am.
