Tyran Parke

Tyran is an award-winning actor, singer, teacher and director.


As an actor he has played roles professionally in over fifty productions.


Professional Directing credits include the musicals, Jekyll and Hyde, Lovebites, Cheek to Cheek, Rent, Sunday in the Park with George, Follies, Assassins, Into The Woods, A Chorus Line, The Goodbye Girl, Big Fish, Crossroads, Falsettos, Hello Again Ordinary Days, the plays, Thom Pain, Pool (no water), The Laramie Project, Great Expectations, Proof, and the opera, The Fairy Queen and The Coronation of Poppea.


On the concert stage Tyran has directed all three versions of From Broadway to La Scala touring nationally receiving five-star reviews and standing ovations. Tapestry starring Debra Byrne and Vika Bull and Rob Mills is Surprisingly Good are also highlights.


Upcoming projects include directing the musical, Barnum starring Todd McKenny and singing in The Boys of Sondheim at the Sydney Recital Hall.


As a teacher Tyran has worked for all the major training institutions and is currently the Head of Music Theatre at the Victorian College of the Arts.
