Singing (Beginners & Youth)

At the heart of Musical Theatre is singing and The Australian Musical Theatre Festival is thrilled to bring one of Australia’s leading singing teachers to Launceston in 2023.

Queenie is in high demand and her classes offer a unique experience in understanding your own instrument and the techniques required to effectively express yourself through song.

This workshop will begin with a full group vocal warm-up offering practical exercises and insights into vocal technique (alignment, breathing, resonance, registration, vocal health) before an engaging masterclass allowing selected individuals to present a song. The entire class will engage in this supportive and inspiring critique from one of our most experienced teachers. A question-and-answer session will follow, allowing every participant access to Queenie’s wisdom and experience.

This workshop has been especially created for beginner artists no matter what the age as well as young people first engaging with their voices.
