Jennifer Peers is synonymous with exciting, safe and reliable vocal performance at the highest level of musical theatre. She has a wealth of experience as both a performer, (with credits in many major musicals including ‘Mary Poppins’, ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, ‘City of Angels’) and as a singing teacher, (with ongoing positions at NIDA and Brent St, as well as a thriving private studio that is responsible for many of Australia’s best Musical Theatre singers). Jennifer is in high demand and her classes offer a unique experience in understanding your own instrument and the techniques required to effectively express yourself through song.
This workshop will begin with a full group vocal warm-up offering practical exercises and insights into vocal technique (alignment, breathing, resonance, registration, vocal health) before an engaging masterclass allowing selected individuals to present a song. The entire class will engage in this supportive and inspiring critique from one of our most experienced teachers. A question-and-answer session will follow, allowing every participant access to Jennifer’s wisdom and experience.
This workshop has been especially created for beginner artists no matter what the age as well as young people first engaging with their voices.
