Gina McKenzie has been involved in the theatre world of Launceston, both as a participant and audience member, most of her life. She is actively involved as President of the Launceston Musical Society and volunteers on a regular basis for BOFA (Film Festival) and Ten Days on the Island. Gina considers herself most fortunate to live in a city so culturally rich with both community based and professional theatre in abundance.
Initially trained as an Occupational Therapist, Gina has honed her management skills over the years by bringing up four boys, being involved in several fundraising charitable organisations and taking several roles in theatre production, primarily Production Management and Costumes Co-ordination. Gina is also Convenor of the Friends of Theatre North who fundraise for the Theatre and value add to theatre audience experiences.
Gina was delighted to be invited (and closely involved) in the inaugural Australian Musical Theatre Festival and is excited to take on the volunteer manager role again for 2020.
