Sarah Morrisby

Sarah is a ‘hobbyist’ performer who graduated from her voice studies in 2008 at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music. Although originally studying classical voice, Sarah soon moved into a more music theatre and jazz-based repertoire and it is here that she feels most at home.

While living in Sydney, Sarah regularly performed with members of the Sydney Symphony Orchestras as a vocalist for corporate events and galas. Sarah also participated in auditioned masterclasses with Liz Calloway and John Buchanan and performed in both the Stephen Schwartz and Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty Festival of Broadway shows (Sydney, Melbourne & Hobart).

A regular amateur performer at festivals, concerts and onstage in music theatre productions, highlights include: Shrek: the musical; Mary Poppins; Evita; Les Miserables; Phantom of the Opera; Sunset Boulevard; (Willoughby Theatre Company, Sydney); The Hot Mikado (North Shore Theatre, Sydney); Elegies as part of the Sydney Mardi Gras Festival (Linda Sings, Sydney); My Fair Lady; The Boyfriend; Harry: the Very Pottery Musical (Bijou Creative, Hobart). Most recently, she was thrilled to be part of the Australian Music Theatre Festival’s Makers Weekend.
