Robin McLeavy

Robin graduated from NIDA with a Bachelor of Drama in 2004 and has an international career on stage, television, and film.

Robin starred opposite Cate Blanchett and Joel Edgerton in the acclaimed STC production of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE directed by Liv Ullman. The tour included Sydney, Washington DC and New York. Robin won the Helen Hayes Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance.

Robin’s other notable theatre credits include: MISS JULIE, directed by Kip Williams for the Sydney Theatre Company (nominated for a Greenroom Award for Best Actress), WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINA WOOLF? (Sydney Theatre Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actress) and MEASURE FOR MEASURE (Helpmann Award Nomination for Best Actress) both directed by Benedict Andrews for Belvoir Theatre; Robin originated the role of Catherine the Great in THE GREAT, written by Tony McNamara and directed by Peter Evans for the Sydney Theatre Company;  HOLDING THE MAN written by Tommy Murphy and directed by David Berthold for Griffin Theatre Company.

Robin’s screen work includes the series regular role of “Eva” (5 seasons) on the AMC series HELL ON WHEELS, HOMELAND (HBO), WOLF LIKE ME (Netflix) and WU ASSASSINS (Netflix). Film credits include Fox’s ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, produced by Tim Burton. BACK TRACK (Tribeca Film Festival), THE LOVED ONES (Toronto International Film Festival Midnight Madness Winner).

Robin can next be seen in Robert Connelly’s film FORCE OF NATURE, opposite Eric Bana and Anna Torv.  The film is the sequel to the box office hit THE DRY and is due for theatrical release in August 2023. Robin is represented by Lisa Mann and Echo Lake Entertainment.
