Robin McLeavy

Robin McLeavy is one of Australia’s most celebrated stage actresses having starred opposite Cate Blanchett and Joel Edgerton in the acclaimed production of A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE directed by Liv Ullman.

The Sydney Theatre Company production started in Sydney then went to Washington DC and New York. Robin won the Helen Hayes Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance. Robin’s other theatre credits include: for Melbourne Theatre Company - MISS JULIE, directed by Kip Williams (nominated for a Greenroom Award for Best Actress), for Belvoir - WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINA WOOLF? (Sydney Theatre Award Nomination for Best Supporting Actress) and MEASURE FOR MEASURE (Helpmann Award Nomination for Best Actress) both directed by Benedict Andrews; for Sydney Theatre Company - THE GREAT directed by Peter Evans, SELF-ESTEEM directed by Brendan Cowell; for Griffin, the Sydney Opera House and Belvoir HOLDING THE MAN, directed by David Berthold.

Robin’s screen work includes the series regular role of “Eva” (5 seasons) on the AMC series HELL ON WHEELS. The role was written for Robin by writer Jami O’Brien. Other television includes HOMELAND (HBO) and WU ASSASSINS (Netflix). Film credits include Fox’s ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER, produced by Tim Burton and directed by Timur Bekmambetov. BACK TRACK (Tribeca Film Festival), THE LOVED ONES (Toronto International Film Festival Midnight Madness Winner). Robin graduated from NIDA with a Bachelor of Drama in 2004. Robin has taught for NIDA open program and also teaches her own acting and creativity workshops.
